Hi Guys Presenting Simplicity V5 - Quick light & Modded Custom Rom for Galaxy Y Shared by Xda Member marcussmith2626 this rom is ported from Galaxy ACE 5830i.

I have also designed a new SystemUI to fix the bugs that were effecting the orig SystemUI - You will need to flash the mod after you have booted the rom for the first time

Mod Status Bar - Changes From Original:

• Fixed flashlight toggle
• Changed the brightness slider to cm7 smali (no need for greper and the brightness changes as you slide)
• Changed layout

How to Flash :

o  At first if you are on other rom goto stock rom {How to flash via odin guide here }

o  Then reboot in Recovery mode By pressing Volume up + power button + home button then apply update from sd card then select CMW. madteam .Zip

o  Then in cwm select wipe data then yes wipe data.

o  Then Select Wipe cache Partition then yes wipe cache.

o  Then go to mounts & storage second last option in cwm then select mount & storage then mount all the four things

mount/data, mount/sdcard, mount/system, mount/cache..

o  Then Go back and select install zip from sd card... then choose zip from sd card then choose the Rom.zip from sd card.....

o Select "yes" wait till it finish flashing

o Reboot now

o  Wait untill media scan is complete

o  Reboot back the cwm

o  Mount System

o  Install zip from SD

o  Select the Status Bar Mod zip

o  Restart

Note : It takes more time to first boot! don't panic just wait.

If WIFI does not work you need to flash the wifi drivers for your kernel

Either stock wifi drivers or whitexp wifi drivers

FAQ

Q - My wifi doesn't work

A - Flash wifi drivers - either stock or whitexp depending on kernel 

Q- What is viper 

A- A sound mod - enable it from the app and customise equaliser to taste

Q- In simplicity settings dsp manager force closes when pressed 

A- This is because it's been replaced with viper - launch from app

Q- Does this rom have Hw acceleration 

A- No as galaxy y does not support it in non cm7 roms
