How to Root, Unroot & Change Region in your SONY Tablet S { Tutorial }


Dear Friends SONY Tablet S is one of the premier tablets can now be rooted, unrooted & decrypted easily along with many other host of options easily just with a simple click. Over a period of this article we will be discussing all of the features which this tool comes along. Please note that you need to follow all the instructions carefully mentioned in this article so as to make use of every single feature safely and securely. Also, be informed that this is not an Official tool developed or launched by SONY.

Please note that you need to ensure that you apply this rooting process to ONLY Sony Tablet S and not to any other similar tablets or any other tablet from SONY. Backup all the data present in your phone so as to ensure that just in case if the data gets lost or corrupted, the same can be restored easily.


Pictures, Music, Videos, Files etc.– Copy to internal / External SD Card,
Internet & MMS Settings – Backup all the settings from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names”
Minimum charge left in your SONY Tablet S should be 60% so as to ensure that the phone doesn’t get turned Off in the middle of firmware update. (If you don’t follow this step then the chances are more that your phone may get DEAD for which we should not be responsible).
Disable all the security suites installed in your computer and uninstall all antivirus tools in your computer so as to ensure that the firmware update is not interrupted in the middle of the process.
Enable the USB debugging in your SONY Tablet S from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”. The USB Debugging option should be ticked. USB Debugging Mode can only be enabled once you disconnect the phone from computer. USB Debugging should be ticked.

Sign decrypted custom-update.zip – This option signs the modified update.
Disable recovery update.zip signature-check – This option disables the security check for the update.zip custom ROM firmwares.



TWEAKS AND MODS SUB MENU:
Install “rescue-backdoor” – anti-bootloop protection, gives opportunity to reflash current firmware if something goes wrong with modifying system things.
Toggle OTA system updates and notifications – You can also disable the annoying update notifications which can be enabled back,
Install init.d support – Just push the bash scripts to ‘/system/etc/init.d/’ to get them auto start on device booting.
Install GPS Fix Mod – This one changes gps.conf with modded version to get better and faster signal.
Fake as other devices – fake your tab as one of four available (Acer A500, Motorola XOOM, Galaxy SII, Galaxy TAB) – to get more games/apps available in market To bring back original – run again.
[init.d] script] Increase SD/extSD read speeds. – adds init.d script which automatically on boot changes cache value, to get better read speeds
